“25 million adult American’s experience transient or chronic urinary incontinence.” The exercise that can remedy both Stress incontinence of urinary and fecal incontinence is the Kegel exercises. Stress incontinence occurs when a person sneezes, coughs, jumping or laughing to hard putting extra pressure on a full bladder triggering the bladder to leak urine. The elderly should be able to keep their dignity and have all of their personal morals respected. I believe they should be able to have access to all of their family and friends that they were accustomed to speaking with or seeing on a regular basis even if they are put in a private care facility. Kegel exercise is done by tightening the pelvic floor muscles. A person can sit on the toilet and begin to urinate, then try to stop the flow by tightening the muscles in the pelvic floor but the abdomen, thigh or buttocks should not be effected. Tighten the pelvic floor muscles and hold for the count of ten then release it completely and count to ten. Do this ten times in the morning, afternoon and bedtime or three times a day. Some experience improvement in three weeks, others in three months. “60 million people are expected to have #Alzheimer’s #disease by 2040.” http://www.alzinfo.org/http://www.alzinfo.org/ (Frederick Serriere @FredSerriere on Twitter)
